Troubleshooting
Won't work or respond?
Ensure you are using the correct mode for the specific device:
Ⅰ. Radio Wave Detection & Full Band Detection: Detects wireless cameras.
Ⅱ. Infrared Detection: Detects night vision cameras.
Ⅲ. Strong Magnetic Detection: Detects magnetic GPS trackers or magnetic listening devices.
Ⅳ. Camera Detection: Detects all types of cameras.
Beeps at everything?
Before using the detector, turn off surrounding signal interference, such as WiFi and routers, and switch your phone to airplane mode.
If the beeping sound is bothersome, you can set the detector to silent mode by following these steps:
Ⅰ.Press and hold both the power button and the sensitivity adjustment button.
Ⅱ.When all indicator lights flash (without a beep), immediately release both buttons.
Won't detect GPS trackers?
Use Strong Magnetic Detection Mode to locate GPS trackers with magnetic attachments.
Note: the magnetic detection probe is located on the back top side of the detector.
Successful detection of a magnetic spy gadget depends on the strength of the magnet and its distance from the P18 MIX Bug Detector. Since the magnetic properties of hidden devices are unkonwn, it is recommended to perform the magnetic scan very slowly and deliberately.
How to Detect Hidden Cameras in Areas with Uncontrollable Signal Interference?
Use Infrared Detection Mode and Camera Detection Mode:
Ⅰ. Infrared Detection Mode: Some cameras have night vision functionality, emitting infrared light in the dark. The detector can identify infrared waves from these cameras, helping to locate them.
Note: Before using this mode, ensure that curtains are drawn at night to prevent false alerts from sunlight or fluorescent lights.
Ⅱ. Camera Detection Mode: This mode detects all types of cameras by emitting red light, which reflects off camera lenses, revealing their location.
